Our Process
A solid foundation and structure are essential for a building to stand strong. Similarly, every project requires a well-planned approach. InnoVision's proven process solves a simple formula to ensure success.
INVESTIGATION
The introduction to any project begins with a strong foundation. Without properly considering feasibility and viability, work completed during the design or technical phases of your project can become redundant. However, rest assured that our process is designed to eliminate this from occurring.
InnoVision strongly emphasizes that the investigation phase is essential in order to determine the unique restrictions and challenges prior to any future work being completed. Accordingly, work can be completed more precisely to project scope, thus, ensuring challenges can be dealt with early in the project life cycle.
2. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
It is not uncommon that your project will require a degree of design development. Despite having previously prepared design concepts or your project is primarily technical, re-evaluation of your design may be required to consider any overlooked elements before proceeding with the technical phase. In certain scenarios, your project may only require conceptual modeling to grasp the interaction between a building's structure and its site. However, other projects could demand a more intricate level of detail, such as those involving a comprehensive interior design package or the construction of a new home or building. Regardless of the situation, InnoVision can fulfill your needs. We provide a complete and comprehensive host of design services for a diverse range of projects, ensuring your needs can be fulfilled by our team of professionals.
3. TECHNICAL DRAWINGS
Prior to submitting for building permit, there are numerous technical considerations that must be explored in order to satisfy municipal requirements. Using the design development drawings as a base, architectural detailing, structural engineering, and mechanical engineering will be incorporated into the final drawing package. While certain projects may not require structural and/or mechanical engineering, it is a fact that the majority of projects do require both disciplines. Furthermore, adhering to the Ontario Building Code (OBC) guidelines is non-negotiable if the intention is to secure building permits.
4. BUILDING PERMITS
After a final drawing package has been completed, InnoVision will submit drawings to your municipal building department for review and approval. Ordinarily, revisions will not be required, however, under the circumstances that they are, InnoVision will work with city officials so drawings can be quickly amended.
InnoVision commonly works actively during the process to expedite approvals, enabling your project to move forward into the construction phase without unnecessary delays.
